Singer-songwriter Kathleen Edwards is temporarily quitting her cafe to play Interstellar Rodeo with Whitehorse frontman Luke Doucet and Halifax icon Joel Plaskett.
The three, billed as the Interstellar All Stars, will perform each other’s songs as part of the third and final night of the festival, which wraps up Sunday, July 26 at the Heritage Amphitheatre in Hawrelak Park.
Weekend passes and single-day tickets are available via Six Shooter Records’ online store.
Edwards made international news when she decided to put her full-time career on hold to open up a cafe, Quitters Coffee, in Stittsville, Ont. last year.
The trio join an already impressive lineup starring St. Vincent, Father John Misty, Buffy Ste. Marie, Tanya Tagaq, Charles Bradley, Shakey Graves, Justin Townes Earle, Elle King and The Wet Secrets.
